Founded in 1956, the Lhasa Apso Club is proud to be recognised as the Parent Breed Club for the Lhasa Apso in the United Kingdom.
For almost seventy years, we have been dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting this unique and ancient breed. Our Club brings together owners, breeders, exhibitors, judges and enthusiasts who share a passion for the Lhasa Apso and a commitment to safeguarding its future.

About the Club
The Lhasa Apso Club exists to promote the highest standards of responsible ownership, breeding and exhibiting while protecting the breed’s heritage and ensuring its future for generations to come.
As the Parent Breed Club, we work closely with the Royal Kennel Club and the wider dog community to support education, encourage best practice and promote the health and welfare of the Lhasa Apso.

The Lhasa Apso Club proudly hosts two Championship Shows and one Open Show each year, providing opportunities for exhibitors and enthusiasts from across the United Kingdom to come together and celebrate the breed.
July Championship Show
Our summer Championship Show is one of the highlights of the show calendar, offering exhibitors the opportunity to compete for Challenge Certificates in a friendly and professionally organised environment.
October Championship Show
Our autumn Championship Show is traditionally held at Stoneleigh Park and continues a long-standing tradition within the Club. It attracts quality exhibits from across the UK and provides another opportunity to showcase the very best of the breed.
October Open Show
Our annual Open Show traditionally held at Stoneleigh Park offers members and newcomers alike the opportunity to enjoy friendly competition and spend time with fellow breed enthusiasts.
